  • DANCER’S FAQ

  • Truth is, we get lots of FAQ, so if you don’t see one of yours here, then feel free to call us. We would love to talk with you and help you get started!

    HOW DO I PURCHASE LESSONS?

If you’ve never danced with us before then you are welcome to be our guest for your first group class. After that you might consider buying a block of 10 group lessons that we offer at a discount, or a block of 5 or more private lessons offered at a discount. Either way, we are flexible and are happy to work with you on whatever plan matches your goals and pocketbook!

    DO I NEED A PARTNER?

Probably our most FAQ!  No you do not need a partner for class. Other students come as singles as well, and we rotate partners which improves everyone’s dance overall. If however you have a partner, by all means bring them and if you don’t want to rotate, you don’t have to!

WHAT IF I HAVE TWO-LEFT FEET OR CLAP OFF RHYTHM?

If you want to learn, you can, and all cases of two-left feet are completely curable given enough desire and effort! Truthfully, most people are surprised at how far a few lessons and good coaching get them. We can teach you to hear music, coordinate those feet and over time lead or follow with complete ease!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR ME TO LEARN TO DANCE?

This is the magic question! Everyone’s learning style and pace is different so there is no ‘magic answer’, however if you really want to become a good and confident dancer then you need this combination:

Private Lessons, Group Lessons, Practice and Social Dancing.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO DANCE CLASS?

People usually dress casual for class unless they’re coming straight from work. Please wear shoes that have a smooth leather or no-rubber sole. Also, ladies, please no slips ons or flip flops. Eventually you will probably want to get dance shoes and they can be purchased at the studio.

SO WHAT DANCE SHOULD I LEARN?

Start with what kind of music you like, or how you might see yourself using dance in a social setting. See if you find a fit HERE.
